Work the DMV queue
Approve and deny license applications, vehicle registrations and new businesses.
The DMV queue is where clerks decide what civilians apply for. Open DMV from the dashboard. You need dmv.access and the DMV module; the starter DMV Clerk role carries what you need.
When the queue is used
- Licenses and registrations wait here when Admin, General, DMV approval required for licenses and registrations is on. It is off by default, and then requests are issued at once. Licenses of a type issued by a department always come here for that department's clerks.
- Businesses wait here when DMV approval required for new businesses is on. They are under Businesses at the top of the queue.
Work the queue
The queue has Licenses and Registrations tabs, each with a count. Search by name, SSN or plate, and sort oldest or newest first. Review opens a request with the character's current licenses and any earlier denials.
- Approve issues the license or registration. The civilian gets a notification.
- Deny needs a reason of 3 to 300 characters, which the civilian sees.
dmv.licenses decides licenses and dmv.registrations decides registrations. A clerk with only one sees the other tab read-only.
J and K move between rows, Enter reviews, A approves and D jumps to the deny reason. See Keyboard shortcuts.
