Clean up ownerless records
Delete or reassign vehicles and firearms left without an owner after a character is deleted.
When a character is deleted, its vehicles and firearms stay on record for police history with no owner. Admin, Ownerless records lists them. You need civilian.manage_any and the Civilian module on.
Find ownerless records
The list shows up to 500 rows: plate or serial, kind, description, registration (with a Police hold badge when it applies), when the owner was deleted (in your community's time zone) and how many pending transfers the delete cancelled.
- Kind: All, Vehicles or Firearms.
- Age: Any age, 7+, 30+ or 90+ days since the owner went away.
A vehicle owned by a business is never ownerless.
Delete or reassign
- Delete removes one record after a confirmation. A deleted vehicle's plate becomes free to register again; a deleted firearm's serial stays reserved for good.
- Reassign gives the record to a living character in your community: search by name and pick one. The new owner's civilian limits apply, and for a firearm the felon flag and firearm certification. A refused reassign says why.
Bulk delete
- Set Kind, then enter Ownerless for at least (days).
- Press Delete older vehicles (or firearms, or records).
- Confirm. The result reports how many were deleted and how many holds stayed.
Police holds
A vehicle with a police flag (anything but the owner's own stolen flag) and a seized firearm can't be deleted, one at a time or in bulk, until the hold is cleared; Delete is greyed out. Reassigning is still allowed.
Every delete and reassign is in the audit log. No Discord webhook fires, since there is no owner to name.
