Create a character
Create a civilian character with its ID details, appearance and home address.
Characters are the people you play. Vehicles, firearms, licenses and businesses all belong to one. You need civilian access, from a seat in the Civilian department or your community's joining settings.
Create a character
- Open Civilian, then Characters, and press Create Character.
- Identity: first, middle and last name (letters, spaces, apostrophes and hyphens, up to 40 each), date of birth (age is worked out for you), gender, race and up to 5 aliases.
- Appearance: hair, eyes, height in cm (90 to 250, also shown in feet and inches) and weight in kg (30 to 300, also shown in pounds).
- Home: postal, address (with street suggestions), city, county and state.
- Additional: phone, occupation and a mugshot (JPEG, PNG or WebP, 2 MB max).
- Tick Make this my active character to play it now, and save. Randomize fills any fields you left empty.
For example, Ryker Cohen, born 1994-03-08, 183 cm, living on Vespucci Boulevard in Los Santos. Each character gets a 9-digit SSN, shown on its page with a copy button.
Out-of-state characters
State defaults to your community's state, San Andreas unless your admins changed it. Another state gives the character an Out of state badge on lists and its page.
Limits
Your community sets how many characters, vehicles and firearms each member can hold (by default 10, 25 and 25). The counter by the create button shows where you stand, such as "3 of 10", and at the limit the button is disabled until you delete one. If the limit drops below what you hold, you keep what you have. Admins set it under Admin, General, Civilian and DMV (1 to 100 each); see Community settings.
