Insure a vehicle

Pick an insurance carrier, read your policy and renew it before it expires.

Insurance is set when you register a vehicle and changed later with Change Insurance in the vehicle's menu.

Insure a vehicle

  1. Choose Insured.
  2. Pick the Insurer. When your community has insurance carriers, you must pick one from the list; with none, type the insurer's name.

Choosing Insured, or switching carrier, starts a new policy that runs for one year from today. Its number is the carrier's initials and eight characters, such as HM-7Q2K9X4A for Harbor Mutual. Uninsured clears the carrier, policy and expiry.

View Insurance Card shows the carrier, policy number, insured name, expiry date and status. Once the end date passes, insurance shows Expired in grey.

Renew a policy

Renew Policy appears in the vehicle's menu from 30 days before the policy expires, and after it has expired. It sets a new end date one year from today and keeps the carrier and policy number. Before the window it reads "Renewal opens 30 days before the policy expires."

Picking the same carrier again in Change Insurance inside the window renews too.
