RP (plate search) and RN (name search) aren't available yet; typing them says so.
Units and calls
A unit is its callsign. A call is its full number (26-000123) or its last digits (123) among the open calls. Digits that match more than one call list the candidates and ask for more. A callsign that matches several units (12 in two departments, say) is refused the same way.
Pickers
Units show their status and department, calls their nature and location, and natures their priority; locations come from your postals. Inserting an option moves the hint to the next parameter.
Segments
TS and NEW take the rest of the line as segments separated by dots. The last segment keeps any further dots. Double quotes keep a dot or leading spaces in a segment: NEW "Shots fired".Main St.Suspect said "stop. now".
A location that is a known postal expands into its streets, as on New Call. Anything else is used as typed.
TS without a plate
The plate is optional: TS 1A-12 Alta St uses Alta St as the location. With dots, the first segment is the plate only when it looks like one (1 to 8 letters and digits). Plate returns aren't available yet, so the plate is saved in the call's description (Plate ABC123).
Plate or postal
A postal such as 210 also looks like a plate. TS 1A-12 210 is fine, since a single segment is always the location, but TS 1A-12 210.WHITE SEDAN reads 210 as the plate. To give a postal and comments without a plate, start with a dot: TS 1A-12 .210.WHITE SEDAN.
