Use the dispatch command line

Type short commands to create calls, attach units and set statuses from the dispatch and LEO boards.

The command line is the bar at the bottom of the dispatch board. On the LEO board it appears once you turn it on in the Layout setting. Every command does exactly what the matching button does, with the same permission checks and refusal messages.

Run a command

  1. Press Alt+L to jump to the bar. Empty, it lists the verbs.
  2. Type a command such as ENRT 1A-12 123. A hint line shows the syntax with the part you're typing emphasized; Example shows a full one.
  3. When a picker suggests units, calls, natures or postals, move with Down and Up and press Tab or Enter to insert the highlighted (or first) option.
  4. Press Enter with nothing highlighted to run it.

Errors show under the bar with the bad part marked. All verbs: Command line reference.

History

Up in an empty bar recalls your previous command; Down walks forward. The last 50 commands are kept in this browser tab only, not shared with other tabs or dispatchers, and gone when the tab closes.

Moving a unit

ENRT, ONSC and ATT for a unit already on another call ask first: "Move to 26-000124?" Press Move (or Ctrl+Enter). TS doesn't ask: it is refused with "That unit was just attached to another call" and no call is created.

Aliases

Someone with config.manage can add short names at Admin, Dispatch commands. An alias is 1 to 8 letters and runs a built-in command: map OS to ONSC and OS 1A-12 123 works.

  • It can't reuse a command or another alias's name. A community can have up to 50.
  • Open boards pick up changes without a reload, and the verb picker shows "Alias for ONSC".
