How call entry autofills
How postals, streets and areas fill each other in when a call is entered.
Once postals are mapped to streets, entering a call saves typing:
- Typed postal fills Location: its first two streets, written
A / B(or the only street). - Picked street fills Postal: the postal matching the first two streets in Location or, failing that, the first postal containing the first street.
- Postal fills Area, when the postal has one.
- Cross streets narrow down to the postal's other streets.
Good to know
- Autofill only fills a field that is empty or still holds what autofill last wrote. A value someone typed is never overwritten.
- A postal autofill put in itself (or a default) doesn't fill Location; it only narrows Cross streets.
- A postal entered on a call that isn't in your list asks for one that is.
