Edit 10-codes and status codes
Edit your community's 10-codes and the MDT status codes, colours and hotkeys.
10-codes
Admin, 10-Codes lists each code with its meaning and category. Units open the list in the MDT with Alt+T.
- Add 10-Code: a code (up to 16 characters), a meaning (up to 120) and an optional category (up to 32), such as General, Fire/EMS or Phonetic.
- Reorder with Alt+Up and Alt+Down, search, and filter by category.
- Import CSV takes a file with
code, meaning, categorycolumns, or one line per code such as10-4: Acknowledged. You can also paste. Existing codes are updated and new ones added.
New communities start with a full set of signals, codes and 10-codes. You can replace it with your own during guided setup.
Status codes
Admin, Status codes sets the statuses units use on the MDT.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Code | 1 to 8 characters: letters, digits, -, / and _. |
| Label | Up to 32 characters. |
| Meaning | On duty, Available, En route, On scene, Busy, Unavailable, Panic or Off duty. The meaning decides what the status does. |
| Hotkey | F1 to F12, or None. A key can be used once per department type. |
| Departments | Which department types use it. |
| Color | Shown on the board. A low-contrast colour gets a warning. |
- Available, En route, On scene, Off duty and Panic must each keep at least one enabled code.
- A code units have used can't be deleted. Disable it instead.
- Reset Colors puts every starter code back to its starter colour, and gives codes you added the colour of their meaning.
- The MDT preview shows how the codes look on the board.
