Edit lookup lists

Add, disable, reorder and import the values behind CAD dropdowns.

Lookup lists are the values in CAD dropdowns. Open Admin, then Lists. You need config.manage.

The lists: Natures, Dispositions, Genders, Races, Eye colors, Hair colors, Cities, Counties, Areas, Streets, License classes, License endorsements, Vehicle makes, Vehicle colors, Insurance carriers, Firearm types, Character flags, Business types and Common places.

Edit a list

  1. Type in Add to add a value (up to 64 characters, unique in the list).
  2. Use a row's switch to disable it, or Edit or Delete it. Disabled values stay on existing records and leave new pickers; renames never change saved records.
  3. Drag to reorder. Search, and hide disabled values, from the top.

A value in use can't be deleted (the Used by column counts its records); disable it instead. Restore Defaults adds missing starter values; for cities, counties, areas and streets it is Load Native Defaults, which adds missing in-game map names and never touches existing ones. History shows who changed the list (needs community.audit).

Extra fields

  • Natures: default priority (1 to 3), the department types that use it, and a code. "Officer panic" is built in and can't be changed.
  • Dispositions: a code, and whether it requires a report.
  • Character flags: the alert sound: hit, tone or alarm.
  • Areas: an optional zone code.
  • Common places: postal and street (required), cross streets and city, filled in when picked on a call.

Import and export

Export CSV downloads the list. Import CSV takes a file with the header value, sort, disabled plus the list's extra columns, up to 2 MB and 5,000 rows. The preview marks each row Added, Changed, Unchanged or Error before you import, and an empty cell keeps the stored value.
