Upload postals

Upload your map's postal codes, or install a bundled postal pack.

Admin, Postals holds the postal map used for call and unit locations. New communities start with a full postal set. Calls only take postals in this list.

Upload postals

  1. Press Upload Postals.
  2. Choose the postals.json file your map resource uses (an array such as [{"code":"101","x":-1043.2,"y":-2751.9}]), or a CSV with a code,x,y header. Both can carry an optional street.

An upload replaces every postal, and nothing is imported until every row is valid. Export JSON downloads the current set.

Limits

  • Up to 5,000 postals and 512 KB.
  • Codes are 1 to 8 letters, digits or dashes, start with a letter or digit, and are unique.

Install a preset

  1. Press Install Preset and choose a pack: New and Improved Postals (1,687 postals) or OCRP Postals (865).
  2. Type REPLACE and press Replace Postals.

The preset replaces every postal in one audited step; codes that stay keep their streets. Neither pack includes streets.

Both packs come from the open-source nearest-postal project, used under its MIT license, whose text and copyright notice ship with them. Their numbers follow the New and Improved Postals and OCRP Postals map mods. If your map uses another set, upload your own postals.json.
