Use your own domain
Serve your public site, your member area, or both from a domain you own, with automatic HTTPS.
Your community always works at app.statewide.gg/c/<slug>, with its public site at sites.statewide.gg/<slug>. A custom domain such as cad.statewiderp.example.com replaces those addresses.
Add a domain
- Open Admin, then Domains. You need
community.settings. - Press Add Domain.
- Enter the Hostname only, such as
cad.example.com, withouthttps://or a path. - Pick the Kind:
- Site: your public site at
/. - CAD: your member area at the root, with the hub at
/. - Both: your public site at
/and your member area under/app.
- Site: your public site at
- At the Statewide edge, two more options show. Tick CDN in front if your own CDN serves HTTPS for the hostname; Statewide then needs only the TXT record. Tick Also serve www to redirect
www.<hostname>to the bare hostname. Neither can be changed later.
Add the DNS records
The domain's DNS section lists the records to create at your DNS provider, each with Copy.
- Add the TXT record: host
_statewide-verify.<hostname>, with the code shown. It proves you own the hostname. - Add the pointing record exactly as shown. It appears once Statewide sees the TXT record. On setups without the Statewide edge, an A record shows from the start; add it with the TXT record.
Using Cloudflare?
Set the records to DNS only (grey cloud), unless you ticked CDN in front.
Statewide then verifies the domain and issues its HTTPS certificate.
Limits
- 5 domains per community, and 5 added a day (removed ones count).
