Let department heads edit their page
Allow a department's Head and Deputy head to edit and publish their department's public page.
Department heads can keep their own department's public page up to date without access to the rest of the site.
- Open Admin, then Modules.
- Turn on Department heads edit their public page. It is on by default.
A department's Head and Deputy head can then open the site editor. See Department heads.
What a head can do
- See and edit only their department's page. Other pages are locked.
- See Theme and Menu read-only ("Only site managers change the menu").
- Publish their page only.
If their page doesn't exist yet, Statewide creates a draft from the department template. With the switch off, heads get an error and only Administration edits department pages.
