Community administration Departments

Create a department

Add a department with its type, name, abbreviation, colour and callsign pattern.

Every community starts with the starter agencies. Add your own in CMS, Departments.

Press New Department.
Pick a Type: Law enforcement, Fire, EMS, Dispatch, DMV, Civilian or Staff.
Enter a Name, an Abbreviation (letters or digits, used in links and badges) and a Color.
Save. The department starts with one rank, Member. Add more on the Ranks tab.

General tab

Name, type, abbreviation and colour.
Description: markdown, shown on the public department page.
Public: show the department on the public site.
Callsign pattern: a pattern callsigns must match, such as ^1A-\d{2}$. A # stands for one digit. Test a callsign checks one against it.
The department logo. See Set a department logo.

Delete a department

Delete Department removes its ranks, subdivisions and certifications. Type the abbreviation to confirm.
